When I first started using makeup, I quickly noticed that there weren’t a lot brands that accommodate to my skin tone. My skin is very dark, and much of the time I’ve felt left out of the makeup world because it was so difficult to find a foundation dark enough for me. As I did more and more research, I noticed that it was the same on the other side of the spectrum. Makeup users with very fair skin were also having a hard time.

In recent years I’ve noticed that several brands have been doing a lot better to accommodate every color, not just a few. Because of this, I thought I would put together a list of five makeup brands that show love to all shades.

  1. Lancôme

They make my favorite foundation, the Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear. It has a matte finish with medium coverage. It’s a little on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way.

  1. Maybelline

I love their Matte + Poreless foundation, and it’s cheap! You can find it at the drugstore and they just expanded their shade range.

  1. L’Oreal

Their True Match Super Blendable Foundation has a wide range of shades, and the bottle even tells you the undertone. And the best part is the price. Got to love the drug store.

  1. Kat Von D

Kat Von D’s Lock It foundation is a favorite among many. If you’re a full coverage kind of girl, this is the foundation for you.

  1. MAC Cosmetics

MAC is definitely an OG brand in the makeup world. They were one of the first brands I became familiar with. When it comes to offering shades for a variety of different skin tones, MAC has it all. Plus they have liquid, powder and cream foundation in what seems to be every shade, so you can definitely find what works best for you!
