On the first day of May falls the very iconic, Met Gala. This year it was honoring fashion designer and founder of Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo, as well as commemorating the brand and its garments from past collections.

Many were awaiting a carpet filled with avant-garde looks but it felt like many celebrities chose to play it safe. Not to mention, there were some missing Met Gala veterans *cough Beyoncé cough* and *cough Lady Gaga cough*. Fortunately we survived without them…barely, and there were many jaw dropping fashion moments on the carpet with stars making the theme truly come to life. Below are the best dressed stars of 2017’s Met Gala. #gobigorgohome

A big congratulations to Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçon for being the muse for this years gala. Fun fact: She is the second living designer, aside from Yves Saint Laurent in 1983, to be the inspiration for a Met Gala exhibition. Any ideas on what next years theme could be? #girlboss
