Punk Spring Fashion

  Monday, May 6’s Met Gala carried fall 2012’s punk inspiration into spring 2013. The fashion industry’s red carpet main event lets fashion gurus and celebrities celebrate fashion at what is considered to be New York City’s top social event of the year. Attendees gathered at the Metropolitan Museum, more commonly known as the Met, to mark the opening of the museum’s new fashion exhibit at its Costume Institute, a tradition that has existed since the Costume Institute opened at the Met in 1948. Unlike those who attended the gala in designer and vintage punk-inspired garments, the punk trend is easy to reinterpret from fall to spring for a college student’s budget. READ MORE
