A recent Facebook post ranked Mizzou as third in a list of the most haunted college campuses. As someone who finds paranormal happenings intriguing, I had to do some investigating.
Mizzou’s Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity is rumored to be haunted. A Jewish woman lived there in the 1940s when it was a sorority. Upon learning of her parents’ death in a concentration camp, she hanged herself. Erie occurrences such as unexplained slamming of doors and footsteps have led members of the frat to believe that the house has a ghost.
It is also rumored that the Conley House is haunted by the ghost of Aunt Sally Conley. Sally had requested to be buried in the wall of the house before her death. Legend has it that she haunts the house at night if the attic door is left ajar.
Who says a ghost has to ruin your next round of fropping though… right?
