Finally Thanksgiving is over, and now we can officially start celebrating Christmas without people complaining! Plus with only a couple more weeks of school left, it’s time to really bond with your roommate(s). Here are a few ideas to get you and your roommate(s) into the holiday spirit!
Decorate Your Room
All it takes to achieve this look for your dorm room is hang some string lights (if allowed, of course), bring in a fake tree (small or big according to your preference), some stockings with each of your names, a few Santa Claus items and some candy canes.
If you can, go to your rec room or your own kitchen if you have it, and make each other’s favorite cookies! Nothing says “I love you, roomie” than making treats together.
Time to take out those fancy scissors, go on Pinterest and find different designs for snowflakes to freeze over your room. When you’re finished, hang them from your ceiling or on the walls.
Go Ice Skating
Even if you’re not good at it or have never tried it before, give it a go! You and your roommate can fall all over the place together and have a great time doing it in your favorite (ugly?) sweaters.
Gingerbread Houses
Go out and split the cost of a gingerbread house kit. Go back to your dorm/apartment and build away! Then later you can eat it together.
Watch Christmas Movies
Gather all of your favorite holiday movies and take a day together to watch them all. It’s also a great thing to do when you need a break studying for your finals!
So start Christmas celebrating early this year, and be the roomies that everyone wish they had. Happy Holidays!!
