If you’re like me, you probably don’t have a dime to spend on a lavish vacation for spring break. If you’re spending this much needed week at home, no worries, there is plenty to do!
1. Binge a show on Netflix
You probably didn’t need to be told this. However, this one glorious week off is the perfect time to do nothing but lay in bed, grab a snack, and binge watch an entire show on Netflix.
2. Treat yo’ self
After 3 months of hard work and midterms right before break, you deserve a treat! Get your nails done, buy a nice book, or even just get yourself a fancy lunch that you don’t get to eat while you’re at school. Treat yo’ self!
3. Sleep
Even though you may have plans to stay up ’til all hours of the morning catching up with your friends from home, you really need to use this week off to catch up on your sleep! As college students, we tend to accept that we are chronically tired. Use this time to get your rest and let your body and mind rejuvenate themselves!
4. Eat good meals
The first thing I do when I get home after being at school for a while is raid the pantry (we all know how different the chips at home taste compared to the chips at school). However, it’s important to try to maintain the same diet we keep at school so that we don’t throw our bodies for a loop!
5. Have fun!
There’s nothing easier to do during this allotted time off than to have fun! Go see a movie, catch up with friends, and spend time with your family. Do whatever it is that you don’t get to do at school! Take a breath, sit back, and relax for one glorious week.
