Having a plan is super helpful, especially if you’ve never been to the city. Make sure the places you go to are in order so it’s easier to travel to them and saves you subway rides.
5. Try something new
For me, I tried Pho. I suggest going to Saigon Shack. This was my first time and it was AMAZING!!!! But go for what you want to try, NYC has so much to offer I’m sure you’ll find something!
6. Sales Tax :(
If you are not a born and raised New Yorker, there’s an 8.875 percent sales tax on goods and services. I wondered why every time I went out to eat it was always more than what I rounded it out to be. I am used to a 6 percent sales tax in PA.

Times Square at night is so much better than during the day whether you are taking your time or just driving through. Everything is so bright and colorful. I felt like I was in a movie!
8. Go into the Gucci store for fun you won’t regret it
The Gucci store is in the Macys that has 11 floors of pure shopping and is the largest Macys store in the world. I say for fun because who can afford 1000 dollar slippers.

Top of the rock is located closer to Central Park and Times Square, and has a better view of both. You can also see the empire state building
