1. Girl Power!
Writing for Hercampus is seriously so empowering. Not only do we write about fashion and beauty on campus, but also we cover major academic and political news and events. At HC we write profiles on some of the fiercest ladies at our school. We ask them questions from how they are able to balance their busy schedules to where they plan on taking their degree in the future. #GIRLBOSS
2. Resume Booster
If you join the writing or social media team it looks SO good on a resume. It shows you are able to balance your busy college schedule by getting good grades while also participating in a club that requires actual work. And an added perk we are a nationally published online magazine so everyone can just go online and see all the amazing work you do.
3. Creativity
At HC you have the ability to write about anything you want. Depending on the mood you are in that day, you can write about topics ranging from politics to fashion to school. Anything that is on your mind that you just need to get out you can write about! And if you ever just need a break from your school work, you can spend time finding the perfect gif to go with your article, which can be very relaxing.
4. Friends
The group of writers and social media workers on HC are amazing! They are so good at what they do and so much fun to hangout with at our meetings. This club is so collaborative and any ideas that you have are welcomed by everyone. All the girls are so supportive and work so hard to make sure we have the best content to publish, and we have so much fun doing it together. Also, we sometimes have fun little parties, like our Galentine’s day party where we watched Parks and Recreation and ate cookies! So much fun!
5. FREE STUFF
What’s the number one reason to do anything? When free stuff is involved. The national headquarters of HC send us huge boxes of free stuff all the time and we get to sample it all! If you are picked for writer of the month or social media of the month you get a gift that includes the cool stuff they send us. Also, Caitlin, the president of our club, brings cookies to almost every meeting.
