Last Saturday Her Campus wrapped up College Fashion Week at the Estate on Boylston Street. Campus Correspondent, Joanna Kingston, was lucky enough to get VIP access to the fashion show and got to enjoy the night!
The night included cocktails (for those 21+), entertainment, giveaways, and swag bags. Between looks, entertainment acts came out including an acapella group and an Irish Step Dancing team. The Dear Abbey’s, Boston University’s own male accapella group, return for a second year to serenade the lovely fashionistas at the show. Songs that were covered included some by Justin Timberlake, The Beatles, Britney Spears, and Amy Winehouse. For clips check out the HC Merrimack Instagram, HCMerrimack! Also, Boston College’s Irish Step Dancing Team joined to entertain as well and stepped not just to classic Irish music, but to contemporary too!
Looks that were a part of the show had clever names, thank you Miley for the jokes; the scenes included were “You Snooze, You Lose,” “Go to Class, I am Class,” “Werk It,” “Twerk It!,” and specially for Boston “Twerk or Treat!” Joanna was able to take tons of pictures and video clips that were uploaded to the Instagram, so be sure to take a look!
After the show, Joanna was lucky enough to meet Windsor, Stephanie, and Annie, the Her Campus Founders, which you should know! All three women were incredibly nice and the best hostesses on the block! For all of those that didn’t go, you all missed out! Be sure to keep an eye out for College Fashion Week next year and take a trip into Boston to enjoy!
