We all know McGill students love the fall, especially when Montreal streets become covered with vibrant leaves. Procrastinating for midterms is the perfect time to get creative and take advantage of the new fall colors. Keep reading to find out how to make your own fall lantern.
Things you need:
- Lantern (mason jar works well)
- Colorful fall leaves
- Tea light
- Lighter/matches
- Adhesive material, e.g. glue or tape
Step 1
Collect enough leaves to cover your lantern, and make sure to choose a varied selection of colors
Step 2
Using any form of adhesive, paste your leaves onto your lantern
Step 3
Light your tea light and place it in your lantern, and you’re done!
Voila! These lanterns look beautiful in a dimly lit room and make a unique centrepiece. They’re easy and fun to make, and are the perfect seasonal decoration.
