Struggles Every Shopper Faces on Black Friday

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Maryland chapter.

Black Friday: when stores feature the best deals of the year, and you’re a poor college student; it’s opportunity you just can’t pass up. Let the holiday hustle and bustle begin, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

1. You wake up at a ridiculously early hour to get the best prices…

…And all you want is to go back to sleep.

2. You won’t survive the day without a little, or a lot, of caffeine.

3. You get to the store and there’s so much going on that you actually don’t know what to do with yourself.

4. People are everywhere and you’re all competing to get the same bargains. You won’t get anywhere without throwing some elbows.

5. But, those people just took the last of that one item that you went to the store to get.

6. You’re finally done shopping and you’re ready to leave, but then you see the checkout lines:

7. It all seems worth it when you finally leave the store and breathe that sigh of relief…

…until you go home and immediately regret all the money you spent on things you don’t need.

Thank goodness for online deals and Cyber Monday so you can shop from the comfort of your bed!
