3 Sure Fire Ways to Get Out of the Dog HouseBy April 15, 2012 - 3:05pm Oh, you’ve done it now. She’s been dropping hints for months but on the special night you were playing Modern Warefare 3 with your boys as she sat around a candlelit dinner at that restaurant that it’s impossible to get a reservation at, waiting for Ashton Kusher to finally jump out. Sadly, she was not being punked—you’re a tool and actually forgot your 5-year anniversary. So again I’ll say, you’ve done it now. But though you’re a tool, you do have a conscious and feel remorse. It was an honest mistake and you want to make it right. Well, here a few sure fire ways to make it out of the dog... |

A Trial-and-Error SummerBy April 8, 2012 - 10:00am By this point in the semester, I’m sure many of you have been asked the same question that the entire world seems to be asking me – “So, what are your plans this summer?” And if you haven’t been confronted with this question, maybe it’s something you’ve been asking yourself. At least, it’s something I’ve been asking myself ever since I realized my mom has converted my old bedroom into a brand new office space – complete with a flat screen TV and a state-of-the-art scanner! So, for the past few weeks I’ve been stumbling around the Internet, searching for temporary jobs and even more temporary homes. Surprisingly, I’ve found a lot – apartment renters seeking summer sublets, non-profit organizations looking for friendly receptionists. And of... |

Roman Fever- My Experiences AbroadBy April 1, 2012 - 8:00am Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime experience I had always anticipated during my college career, and this semester I finally had the chance to go overseas and study in Rome, Italy. The thought of leaving the familiarity of home and the University of Maryland campus for four whole months was both exhilarating and terrifying; I had heard nothing but positive things about studying abroad, but still didn’t know what to expect. Homesickness was at the top of my list, which would undoubtedly be followed by a desire to stay in Rome forever. READ MORE |

Pristine pastels, bold metallics, and statement fringe are now the best ways to add some flare to a casual daytime look or a trendy going out outfit. But all of these trends are in no way limited to clothes… Rings, necklaces, and bracelets are mirroring the fashions of the Spring 2012 runways in fun and innovative ways. Sans Urban Outfitters and a good find in Forever 21, trendy yet affordable jewelry can be impossible to get. READ MORE |

Spring's Favorite ThingsBy March 14, 2012 - 6:03pm It’s official. The breezy spring air has finally drifted into College Park, and it looks like it’s here to stay. Birds are singing, the sky is clearing, and there are even a few tulips budding outside my front door. Of course, we all know how sporadic Maryland weather can be (this time tomorrow you might be trudging through snow on the way to class, and I’ll be sitting here with my foot in my mouth), but from the looks of it, springtime isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
