How to get ready for class in 15 minutes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Maryland chapter.

We all have those days where we overslept and don’t give ourselves enough time to look our best. Here’s how to fix those days – you can get ready in 15 minutes!

THE NIGHT BEFORE:

Let me start off by saying you can cut off so much time by getting as much as you can together in order to prepare for the next day.

Pick your clothes out. You have all the time in the world the night before to try on things and see what looks good. On those days where you have “nothing to wear” you can figure it all out the night before. Plan out your outfit from your clothes all the way to your accessories and shoes.

Get your things together. Nothing is worse than running around your room (when you should have already left for class) because you can’t find your student ID. Always keep ALL of your things in the same place. For me, it’s my wallet, sunglasses and headphones.

Pack your bag. Get all of your books and notes for the next day together. Print out all of your assignments beforehand (that will save you extra stress anyway). Again, it’s one less thing you have to do in the morning.

Prep your hair. I have naturally wavy hair, but it never looks right when I sleep on it. If your hair is long enough, put it in a braid or ponytail the night before. It’s a lot less stress to handle in the morning when you don’t have bed head!

THE MORNING OF

Breakfast

As easy as it is to forget about breakfast in the morning, DON’T. Breakfast is the most important meal. Whether it be a granola bar or bowl of cereal, don’t skip this college student must.

Time to get ready: GO!!

Wash your face. Your face picks up dirt and oil while you sleep too, so a simple face wash in the morning will do you just fine.

Brush your teeth. Self explanatory (keep your pearly whites, white!)

Makeup

Foundation. I always like to even out my skin tone even when I don’t have any acne or redness on my face. What makes it so fast is getting a good brush that blends quickly and easily.

Concealer. We’d all be lying if we said we got enough sleep all the time. For those of you who have dark, puffy under eye circles- this is a quick fix.

*If you have the time/patience/skill to do eyeliner quickly, do so if you wish. I definitely do not J

Bronzer. Warm up your face with a face powder.

Mascara: Open up your eyes with a few coats of your favorite mascara.

Hair:

Remember your braid from last night? Run your fingers though it, touch it up with a curling iron and you’re done! Get those effortless waves!

Every collegiette has a morning routine they have- here’s mine!

Watch me get ready in the morning.
