What are you involved in on campus?

I’m a volunteer for Capital News Service/UMTV, the senior sports editor of Stories Beneath the Shell, and a tour guide for the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. And I play intramural sports and I’m a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Single or taken?

Single

What’s your ideal date?

Either going to an amusement park and getting food after or going to a dated or formal party.

What inspired you pursue two majors?

So I can definitely land a job my first year out of college. Plus the fields of my majors are similar so it gives me flexibility in terms of what I can do.

Where do you see yourself after graduation?

Definitely production, whether it’s broadcast journalism or film. So either reporting or working on entertainment productions like SNL in NYC or working in film production in Los Angeles.

Tell me about the internship you have every summer with CBS:

I’m a newsroom intern and production assistant for CBS in NYC. I pitch and coordinate stories, I go out on shoots with reporters, I rehearse newscasts with the anchors for whoever is out and I assist the producers of the noon, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts.

What’s your idea of the “perfect” girl?

A girl that’s confident, not too worried about what others think, down to earth, knows how to have a good time, smart and doesn’t get jealous of other girls…I don’t know how to word it but basically a girl who wouldn’t mind saying another girl is pretty.

What’s your biggest turn off?

Either bad breath, girls who come off too strong/thirsty, or girls who smoke a lot

What’s your most embarrassing moment?

It’s ironic that I’m a broadcast journalism major but when I was 16, I was in an acting competition in Orlando, Florida. And for one of the events we had to do a cold read for a newscast that was a minute long and I was on screen in front of 3,000 people. I wasn’t used to the teleprompter and there were a lot of tongue twisters in the script so I literally couldn’t even read or speak.

Describe yourself in three words:

Outgoing, adventurous and funny.
