Get the Jenner Look

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marshall chapter.

Have you ever wondered why Kendall and Kylie take the most flawless selfies ever? Their faces are always thin and blemish free, their noses the perfect button size, and don’t even get me started on Kylie’s lips. But when you see another pic of them, their faces are slightly more filled out, and there is just something completely different about their looks.

*Notice a slimmer face on the right*

Thanks to an article from HC Fairfield, I introduce to you, Perfect365. The app that will change your life, but I’m not sure it will be for the better. This app gives you the ability to change everything about your face. Your brow size, eye size, and eye color can be easily changed, and you can even thin your face and your nose. When I found this out, I had to give it a whirl. It was almost impossible to not get carried away. You can give yourself free and painless plastic surgery with your fingers. I’m not a big selfie person, so I’m a little embarrassed to post one on a website where literally anyone can see it, but here is my before and after picture, side by side.

*I didn’t want to get too crazy, but I slimmed my face, nose, and darkened my make up*

While completely changing my looks, though, I couldn’t help but think to myself, why does this app even exist?

We should be proud to be who we are. We should love ourselves. We are beautifully and wonderfully made, yet there are free apps we can get on our smart phones that give us the ability to change everything about ourselves. It’s almost terrifying because it gives you the idea that no one really looks the way they do on Instagram.

So, while I slightly encourage you all to play around with the Perfect365 app, (because honestly, it’s pretty cool), I want you to remember that you are beautiful just the way you are. Don’t get carried away with what you think you should look like. Remember that people like you for being yourself.
