1. New Girl (Fox, 2011-2018)

New Girl follows loft-mates Jess, Nick, Winston, and Schmidt on countless shenanigan-filled escapades. Whether it be mistaking a student for a murderer/stalker, or hiding a bag of “meth” during an at-home background check, the gang gets into countless shenanigans that provide no shortage of laughs.

2. Game of Thrones (HBO, 2011-)

Arguably the most iconic show on this list, everyone has heard of Game of Thrones. It follows kings and queens as everyone battles for the control of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. This show is seriously epic, and it has something for everyone.

3. The Good Doctor (ABC, 2017-)

This show is a newer one. It follows Shaun Murphy, an autistic surgeon starting his residency at a hospital in San Jose and the struggles that come with proving himself as an autistic surgeon. This show gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.

4. End of The F***ing World (Netflix, 2017-)

It follows James, who is pretty sure he’s a psychopath, as he meets, and decides to kill, his classmate Alyssa. The show has an extremely interesting concept and is super entertaining, in a dark, murder-y way.

5. That 70’s Show (Fox, 1998-2006)

That 70’s Show is an undisputed classic. The gang, composed of Kelso, Jackie, Hyde, Eric, Donna, and Fez, gets into all sorts of trouble and mischief as they live their lives in the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin. This show holds no shortage of flared pants, suede, and funky patterns. (There is even an episode where Jackie and Donna visit Marquette).

6. Mindhunter (Netflix, 2017-)

If you’re into serial killers or crime shows like Criminal Minds or SVU, you’ll like this show. It takes place in the 70s and follows FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench as they pioneer modern serial killer profiling. It’s beautifully filmed as well, and overall just really enjoyable to watch.

7. The Office (NBC, 2005-2013)

This is kind of an obvious one. You really just need to watch this. Like, really. The characters are impeccable and the ridiculous storylines provide endless laughs. This is the perfect show to throw on when you’re doing literally anything.

8. Broad City (Comedy Central, 2014-)

This quirky comedy follows Abbi and Ilana as they navigate life in New York City. Abbi and Ilana’s misadventures in NYC always seem to lead them down weird and random paths. This show is always entertaining and always brings something unexpected.

9. Awkward (MTV 2011-2016)

This show is a classic 2010s MTV show. It follows Jenna as she navigates her love life, which is wildly dramatic. The supporting cast is very lovable and always hilarious. Awkward is the perfect show to numb your brain while also being extremely engaging.

10. Stranger Things (Netflix, 2016-)

Stranger Things is a cultural phenomenon and needs little explanation, because I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of things about how great it is. From the charming characters, to the insanely captivating storyline, to the iconic 80s vibes, Stranger Things is a must-watch.
