Celebrities Keep it Hot

Lately, there has been a buzz around putting chefs and celebrities to the test on who can cook a better specialty dish. I was so intrigued that I wanted to put the recipes to the test and was overly satisfied at the results! For the main course, I decided to try Kylie Jenner’s Shrimp Tacos. The recipe calls for:

  • 2 pounds of fresh shrimp (cut into thirds)
  • Canola oil
  • 4 cups of diced onions
  • 4 cups of diced tomatoes
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Onion powder
  • 2 cups of chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • White corn tortillas

Here is the step-by-step recipe:

  1. Sautee tomatoes, onions, and cilantro in olive oil on low-medium heat
  2. Season the shrimp in Old Bay seasoning and onion powder in a separate bowl
  3. Add the seasoned shrimp to the pan and allow to fully cook
  4. Add canola oil to a separate pan on medium heat
  5. Fry the corn tortillas in folded shape
  6. Set aside on a plate lined with paper towels
  7. Fill tortillas shells with shrimp filling

You can top it with any of these:

  • Shredded Mexican cheese
  • Green onion
  • Lime
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream

Or go the extra mile and top it off with Beyoncé’s guacamole recipe:

  • 2 Ripe Avocados
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 small Tomato

You can also eat this as an appetizer prior to eating the tacos!

Enjoy, ladies!

As you can see, celebrities are just like us. They like to indulgEe, if it means making memories in the process.  These recipes blew my mind on how such an easy process resulted in such bold flavor. They are definitely putting some professional chefs to shame. Channel your inner celebrity and get ready to feast.

Fashion, girly, outgoing, is the game, and Diana Banzon is the name! I'm a a small town girl from Rochester, Minnesota living it up in the big city of Milwaukee. I gravitate toward living a life full of creativity, which correlate to my Public Relations major under the Communication School at Marquette.
