Ladies and Gentlemen, Nate Lungarini

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

Name: Nate Lungarini

Year: Junior

Major: Media Studies and Production with a concentration in Interactive Media and Game Design

Minor: Business

HC: It’s really awesome to see you hosting you own show on MCTV! You’ve been great as talent so far for Outside The Box, and we love seeing you do your thing each week. How does it feel to be in charge of your own show this year?

NL: Thanks for asking! It’s pretty life-changing so far, and it feels amazing to be a part of such a dedicated crew! The show is rewarding to produce each week along with my lovely director Dani Horbiack as well, we work great together as a team.

HC: Why did you choose to come to Marist?

NL: Well, I love the campus, and I knew I would enjoy the awesome communication and media programs we have to offer. I was also thinking about going to Ithaca when I was applying to schools, but I’m ultimately glad I came here!

HC: How did you become involved with MCTV?

NL: It was last Fall, and I needed to get some production hours for a video production class. I ended up loving it (and all of the crew) and coming to the shows ever since!

HC: What else are you currently involved with on campus?

NL: As well as MCTV, I am a Division I Track and field athlete, and I’m also a part of Marist’s Campus Ministry and the Italian club.

HC: What are your expectations for the rest of your college career?

NL: During the rest of my time at Marist…I’d like to be a part of various school productions, maybe film a short film, and be involved with other productions outside of school as part of internships and other work.

HC: We can’t help but ask, Nate…if you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring three items, what would you chose and why?

NL: I’ll be well-prepared with some matches and a mirror, which will help signal for planes and ships (not just create fires like they do on movies and TV). I’d also bring my Nintendo DS so I could spend at least a little time playing Pokemon, even if I don’t have much power on the island.

HC: It seems like you have a really charismatic personality on camera. Which TV personalities do you admire or hope to emulate the career of?

NL: I’m going to say Christopher Nolan, because I really appreciate his unique style, and he also has great sense of scale for projects. He’s a very strong director who is great at his craft.

We can’t wait to see what’s next from Nate!
