Are you tired of teachers ranting at you about your job future? Weekly club meetings draining you while you dream about returning to your bed? Have no fear! (Okay, some fear because that paper you forgot about is due tomorrow.) As the weekend approaches, here are some foolproof stress relievers. Take a deep breath and relax!

Go into the city and explore.

Part of the reason you’re so stressed is because you’ve been on campus all week, dealing with the same stressful situations on our 23 acre campus. Why not escape for a while? Take advantage of the city and enjoy it while it lasts. A trip into the city with friends to get into some fun is the best way to spend a weekend, rather than sitting in the library longer than you need to be.

Find a new place to get some comfort food.

If you haven’t heard of the edible cookie dough cafe in the city, that should be your first stop. NYC is a foodie’s heaven and comfort food is a great cure for stress.

Catch up on Netflix.

Need I say more? Don’t hate yourself and go for that five-episode binge of that show you’ve watched twenty times now! As long as you know when to stop and start working, you’ll appreciate the relaxing activity.

Take a step back from homework and go for a walk.

If only we could be as happy as this dog… But push your chair away from your desk and get some fresh air! It’ll clear your mind and allow you to return to your work for a fresh start.

Treat yo self!

Buy some sushi, do some online shopping, buy those things you’ve been saving in your Amazon cart. Imagine your excitement when your package(s) come in for the next time you’re next!

Watch a movie with friends.

Odds are, your friends are stressed too. Plan a movie night! You’ll get to hang out with one another, complain about your school work and have fun.

Call your parents/siblings/friends from home/your dog.

Catch up with the people (or pets) that you love! It’s a big stress reliever. Talking to people who care about you and want to know how you’re doing will allow you to feel good about yourself. They’ll probably pay you a few compliments, so there’s a good ego boost too!

Perhaps the most important one… get some rest.

You have a whole new week ahead of you, so prepare yourself by getting some rest. You got this!
