Students of Loyola: Madison Freeman

Students of Loyola: a take on the very exciting, emotional, and raw, “Humans of New York.” I want to capture the students at Loyola in a way that has not been done before. I want people’s joy and struggles to be out there, without forcing anything too much.

Meet Madison Freeman:

What is your philosophy in life?

“The philosophy I have now is not what I have always lived my life by. Before this year, I wanted to plan everything and I think that really hurt me because life is so unpredictable. My philosophy now is to just live everyday individually. It is so easy for people to look back or look so far ahead that they never live in the now. It has been easier to take the vastness of life in if I live it one day at a time. I don’t become so overwhelmed that way. I have started to enjoy my life more because everyday feels like a fresh start. I have lost a lot of people in my life and so I know that everyday is a blessing. You never know  what can happen or what is going to come next. Enjoying each individual day and each individual person in your life is essential. Never waste time on people or things that are hurting you and not helping you. Life is too short.”
