At LMU we are blessed with two Spring Breaks, and I never knew how much I needed two breaks until I had them. Spring is a great time to refresh your routine, clean out your closet, and try some new things. Spring Break 2.0 is the perfect opportunity to add something new to your life.

Alba Botanica® Hawaiian Green Tea Sunscreen

While it has be unusually cold in LA this spring (below 70!!), at home in the Bay Area where I was for Spring Break, it actually was pretty warm. I definitely needed sunscreen this break, and tried Alba Botanica®’s Hawaiian Green Tea Sunscreen with SPF 45. All of Alba Botanica®’s products are vegetarian and botanically based, which is something I never really thought about but makes me like the company more. Something else interesting about this sunscreen is that it is biodegradable and doesn’t harm coral reefs, making it the perfect sunscreen to wear at the beach, once it is warm enough.

Almay Shadow Squad™ Eyeshadow

When I’m travelling over break, I never have enough room in my carry-on to bring a lot of makeup, shoes take priority. This made Almay’s Shadow Squad™ my perfect travel companion. The compact set  comes with one shadow in four different finishes (satin, matte, metallic, and glitter). While you could use all four finishes in one look, I found it better to combine the metallic and satin shades with another small travel palette I have made up of mostly mattes to add more color dimension.

Bead Head by TIGI Superstar Queen for a Day Spray Thickening Spray and Get Twisted Finishing Spray

Spring is the perfect time to switch up your hairstyle and freshen up your look. I recently cut almost 5 inches off of my hair and over break I was busy trying out different hairstyles with my new shorter look. The Superstar Queen for a Day Spray was great for adding texture and volume to my normally straight hair. I had never tried a finishing spray since my hair holds a curl pretty well on its own, but I will say, after using this I will definitely incorporate it into my regular routine.

Try it for yourself! Bed Head by TIGI is offering Her Campus readers $5 off any qualifying $20 TIGI purchase on Ulta.com, just use the coupon code TIGIFIVE.

Buxom Va-Va Plump Shiny Liquid Lipstick

Lipstick is something I don’t  normally get too adventurous with so I was a little nervous to try this one. Allie told me when she tried it out during our team photo shoot it made her lips tingle. I later learned that the tingly effect is a normal reaction to how the product plumps your lips, and I’m all about fuller lips.

Krazy Glue All Purpose Singles

One time someone told me I reminded them of Lauren Conrad because I was the DIY queen. Other than this probably being the best compliment of my life, I realized how much I really did make my own room decorations. I have always loved art, and I think making your own dorm wall art is a great way to add a personal touch to your room. These convenient Krazy Glue singles are the perfect size to keep in your room to fix up anything that might break or when you are working on a new craft.

They have their advantages for Spring Break too though. They are great for repairing broken sunglasses, and flip flops that fall apart.

L’Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes

Like I said before, the weather in LA has been less than ideal for the beach and therefore I am about as pale as ever. These self- tanning towelettes are perfect for taking on a quick weekend trip or when you are in a pinch and don’t have time for a full overnight self tan. Color will start to develop in just 2-4 hours, leaving a natural looking and streak free tan whenever you need it. Like me right now.
