Best Coffee Shops in NYC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LIM chapter.

Even though I’m from Seattle, forget Starbucks. *sirens in the distance*. There are so many great coffee shops in the city where you can grab a quick cup of coffee, meet friends for a fun coffee date, or get some studying done in a new environment.

Gregory’s Coffee

Located all around Manhattan, Gregory’s Coffee is a personal favorite. The atmosphere is bright with rustic wooden tables and of course delicious coffee. They always have spots open to sit and get work done. It is relatively inexpensive and they have everything from smoothies to americanos. Pro tip: the banana walnut bread is AMAZING.

FIKA

One of my friends first introduced me to FIKA and we have been back multiple times. They have great coffee as well as a great array of food items. They also have those fancy curved salad bowls that make you feel like a queen.

Hole in the Wall Coffee     This is a little larger than a hole in the wall but it is definitely properly named. While it is closed Saturday and Sunday, it is a little piece of heaven on the corner of 38th and 5th Ave. If you’re looking for something that is not your average cup of coffee, this is the place to go.
