Fashion Blog - Style, Glamour and Razzmatazz…By January 27, 2013 - 4:52pm …is what’s demanded of ITV’s Harry Selfridge – so it’s no wonder the new drama is already affecting fashion. Set in 1909, the aptly named ‘Mr Selfridge’ tells the story of the opening of ‘Selfridges’ department store. With the men in sharp suits and the women wearing lace, jewels and feather adorned hats, the show is filled with gorgeous Edwardian style. And this hasn’t been over looked by the British public. In the first episode Harry Selfridge gives a shop assistant a gift of red leather gloves; an item that apparently many other people wanted as Debenhams had an increase of 65% in leather gloves sales! People were buying before the show had even finished! READ MORE |

Fashion Blog - Monochrome MadnessBy January 22, 2013 - 9:26pm I’ve heard the phrase, ‘New Year, New Me’ too much this year and people promising that they will go to the gym more, eat healthier, buy a new wardrobe of clothes and so on. That’s all very good and well but are you really going to stick with every unrealistic goal you’ve made for the year ahead? The answer is probably not. One thing you can promise yourself this year is that you will look fabulous this season in monochrome. Of course, to avoid looking like a bizarrely dressed bar code, you’ll need to think carefully about how to approach this trend. READ MORE |

Love Life Blog - Run Forrest Run!By January 22, 2013 - 9:18pm Now, in an idealistic world, I’d meet my perfect man in a coffee shop. He’d order the exact same Americano with an extra shot; no milk and no sugar combo and we’d laugh at how life without coffee has no meaning to us at all. I would not meet my idealistic man when out for a run. Now imagine this; I haven’t been running in a month (assignments ruining my regime), I’m clothed in a fluorescent green, lightweight jacket and purple trainers (I have other clothes on too). I have no make up on, and my hair hasn’t been washed in about 3 days. I’m sweating profusely. It’s safe to say I’m not looking my best. This is not the time to approach a female. READ MORE |

For those of you like myself who have stuck out the whole three months without venturing back to the comfort (and cleanliness) of your parents’ humble abode, the idea of returning home to a full fridge is indisputably the best thing since sliced bread. Love Life Blog - Never mind, I’ll find someone like youBy December 14, 2012 - 1:57pm Best joke ever: my love life. So Semester 1 has been and gone, and with it brought tears, tantrums, heartbreak, love and laughter. We wonder how we survived the past 12 weeks without the comfort of our parents, our best friends and our cats. Comfort eating has amplified our waistline to an alarming degree and our ever increasing workload took a back seat whilst we prioritised our forever messy love lives. READ MORE |
