Barefoot in the Park: Poetry Festival 2012

Posted Apr 19 2012 - 10:45am

Barefoot in the Park is a yearly poetry and arts festival with a northern flavour in Woodhouse Moor, Leeds. In the six years it has existed it has featured established as well as up-and-coming poets, spoken word artists, slam performers, storytellers, singer-songwriters, and bands. This year we'll have performances from Helen Mort, David Tait, Ian Harker, Suzannah Evans, and more! There will also be a spoken word showcase, folk music, an art exhibition, a crafts and vintage clothes stall, and delicious locally-sourced food to keep you fed and warm. The festival is organised by Leeds University students and hopes to get plenty of locals involved, to create a varied and vibrant Leeds event. Barefoot in the Park 2012 will be held on Saturday the 28th of April, 12-8pm by the Bowls Pavilion in Woodhouse Moor. Tickets for the whole day are only £5!
