The Random Thoughts of Omi_Gee- 400 Nights until Graduation…Already?!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Le Moyne chapter.

It’s scary to even think that I am two and a half semesters away from entering the real world. It’s almost sickening. If I had a nickel for all the times I’ve wished for graduation to actually come during midterm/finals week or when I get a research paper that drains my life…I’d be rich. I know my perception about college will immediately change as I step out of Le Moyne as a graduate. I am sure I will appreciate all those overwhelming all-nighters and be heartbroken to think that they are officially over when I realize what is to come will be worse—9 to 5 days!

400 nights ago, when I arrived at Le Moyne, I would have never even imagined I would have been where I am today (as cliché as it sounds, it’s true!). All the homesickness, late night studying, fights between friends, dedicating myself to more jobs/assignments than I could handle, and so on, have proved to be the reason I will be satisfied once I leave Le Moyne (S/O to ya!).
400 nights marks 400 nights till graduation (this just means we have 400 more nights to live the “college life”). 400 days from now will be here faster than I could even imagine so from here on out, I am going to make it my duty to live it up!
Look for me—I’ll be the one with the flashy dress!

Omairys, a born and raised New York City gal of the Dominican descent, is a motivated Communications/Advertising major, with a minor in English. She does not know what she will do with her Communications degree after graduation but is ambitious enough to hope it will be something promising, as this field has been her passion for as long as she could remember. She is actively involved on campus, as she is President of El Progreso, a multicultural organization that strives to raise awareness of the Latino community. She loves to travel: she has traveled to Kenya to work at The Nyumbani Program and will be interning at our nation's capital her senior year! She is hard working, and excited to bring change to her campus---Le Moyne.
