Meet Kahlil!

Hometown: Queens, NY
Class: Senior (2015)
Campus Involvement: Vice President of the Le Moyne Dolphin Steppers, Member of the PAC (Performing Arts Center)

What made you want to be apart of the Le Moyne Dolphin Steppers?
“I decide to join just to see what it was like, I had never stepped before and want to see what it was like.”

When did you join the Step Team?
“I originally joined my freshmen year and I’ve been on the team ever since. There has only been one semester where I was not an active member.”

What are some of the other board positions you served as a member of the Step Team?
I was Public Relations before and now I’m the Vice President!

What made you want to become Vice President?
“I felt there were a lot of things that needed to change with the step team, like advertising, having a voice on campus, improving notoriety and being able to have our own show at the PAC.” There were a lot of changes that need to be made.

This year for the first time, The Le Moyne Dolphin Steppers have their own show, tell us about it.
“Every year the step team has it own show, but before this year it has never been in the PAC. This is a huge accomplishment to have our show in the PAC.”

Being a graduating senior, Do you feel being apart of the step team will help you leave your mark at Le Moyne?
“Absolutely, I think it will. Most of the changes that came about I helped create. Hopefully the step team will continue to change and grow.”

Where would you like to see the Step Team in 5 years?
“In 5 years, I hope to see the Step Team traveling to perform at other schools and having their own show both fall and spring semester.”
