Tessa Dinnie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

“I want to be Olivia Pope because she’s just such a badass,” says this week’s Campus Cutie, Tessa Dinnie.

Tessa’s a member of the class of 2017 majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, and minoring in Political Science. She’s got it all, the beauty and the brains. A member of Active Minds, Amnesty International, and Peer Health, this Hudson, MA. native can be found around campus just living her life. A Game of Thrones lover, Tessa cites Kit Harrington as her celebrity crush. “He’s on Game of Thrones and has a really nice beard. He’s just nice to look at,” Tessa reflects. In 10 years, this 19 year old hopes to be married, in a solid job, and the proud parent of a few cats. And maybe a dog. But most of all, she just hopes she’s happy.

Tessa traveled to Ecuador with Lasell, and says it’s probably one of the greatest things she’s ever done in her life. She said, “I cried when I got accepted I was so excited. I cried on the phone with my mom for like ten minutes.”

If Tessa could be one person dead or alive, it would be Eleanor Roosevelt, saying that she had so much power and knew how to use that power. “Plus she was pretty cool,” she says.

While she someday wants to be the next real-life Olivia Pope, Tessa looks to her mom as her biggest inspiration. After 16 years as a stay at home mom, Ms. Dinnie got a full time job. Tessa loves her mom, and said, “She knows where she is at in life and that’s where I want to be when I’m her age.”

The perfect guy for this lady is someone who has the same values as her, thinks the same way, and is funny. He also has to be able to kick it.

Want a date with this cutie? Here’s what you have to be down for: it’s quite simple, really. Tessa just wants to take a quick nap, then get some sushi. Or maybe a burrito. Also, throw in a showing of Dead Poet Society to win her heart.
