Support She’s The First #BakeForAChange

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

This weekend is Friends, Family, and Alumni Weekend at Lasell, a super exciting time for students to bring their families and friends around campus and show off our school. In the midst of all the madness, be sure to stop by She’s The First’s table Saturday at Fall Fest from 12-2 p.m. in the Barn parking lot to feast your eyes on some seriously amazing cupcakes.

If you’re new to She’s The First (or haven’t read any of my other articles on them), they are Lasell’s chapter of the international non-profit She’s The First, which aims to raise awareness for girl’s education and provide funding for educational scholarships to girls in developing countries who are the first in their family to go to school or finish school. The club has established themselves well on campus in their five years of existence and just keep the fundraisers coming!

As part of She’s The First’s international #BakeForAChange campaign, the club will be giving away cupcakes and accepting donations for educational scholarships. This is the fifth year STF has been a part of this campaign, and it’s always been very successful for them. Not only will they be giving away cupcakes, but they’re setting up a whole decorating station, as if rainbow tie dye cupcakes weren’t fabulous enough!

In case you’re going home this weekend, or are opting out of Fall Fest, you can also catch them tabling in the first floor Arnow Campus Center from 11-3 the following Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday where you can buy a pre-decorated cupcake for $2, which is a serious steal considering what a labor of love these treats are.

Whether you decorate a cake this weekend at Fall Fest with your family or buy a pre-made goodie after lunch next week, make sure you get yourself a tie dye cupcake that supports a great cause as part of #BakeForAChange!
