Jobs To Apply To After Graduation

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Everyone has the question of “What jobs do I apply to after college?” For anyone graduating soon or just wondering what types of jobs to apply to one day, this article is for you to lessen the stress we all feel.

  1. Apply to ALL

The worst a job offer can give you is a no, or no response at all. Applying to everything is crucial, even if you don’t have all of the qualifications or aren’t sure if the company would hire you. Your resume is what makes you unique, and even if you aren’t fully qualified for a job, a potential employer may notice something unique or interesting on your resume that they like, and may contact you further for a potential interview or even a position. Applying can’t hurt if the worst answer you can get is no.

2. Apply to what suits you best

Applying to a job that is the best fit for you will really help in the long run. Anything even a little related to your major is helpful if you can’t find something right away in your major from college. Applying to something you’re interested in can help open new doors to get you somewhere you can advance and move up in a job one day.

3. Apply to multiple jobs

Don’t just apply to 2 or 3 jobs. Apply to as many as possible, so you can see what’s out there and find the best fit for you. An ideal number of jobs to apply to right out of college could be anywhere from 7-12. Having a wide variety and wide range of options will find you the best option for your interest, pay, and benefits-wise.

Good luck!
