The Best Single Disney Women

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

I’m a sucker for a good Disney love story as much as the next person, but I think it’s important to highlight some of the greatest single ladies of Disney on this special day.

Tinkerbell

Tink often gets a lot of backlash as being the super sassy fairy. But did anyone ever stop to think that it’s a little hard to deal with seven preteen boys, while wearing a mini dress and shoes with giant pom poms on them?

Charlotte

Many people see Charlotte as the comedic relief best friend character in The Princess and the Frog but look a little deeper and you will see a girl who tries so hard and just wants everyone to be happy even if that means giving up her own happiness.

Moana

Moana was a great addition to the Disney family mainly because she showed girls that there are more important things than finding love – like family, strength, and your own dreams.

Merida

Merida is one of the original princesses, if not the original, to say “I don’t need a husband, thank you very much. I have more important things to worry about, like bears and stuff.”

Nani

Nani is probably the most amazing single woman on this list because she is not magical or royalty. She’s just a girl from Hawaii trying to make it through with crappy part-time jobs and a sister who can sometimes be a handful, and child services knocking on her door all the time.
