As the year ticks on and we near the season of colder, darker days, what zodiac sign could fit more properly than Scorpio? I’m assuming that by clicking on the link, you’re familiar with your horoscope (and which signs are more docile and patient than others). Adjectives such as docile, patient, calm, and mild are great ways to describe the opposite of your typical Scorpio. Proudly being the second female Scorpio in my family, I know firsthand about the fiery nature that comes with the territory. If you, your significant other, your friend, or your coworker happens to be born between October 23 through November 21, my best advice is beware. After all, the symbol for this sign is a Scorpion.

Scorpios are known for their assertive actions and passionate mindset. Said to be good leaders because of their dominance, yet bad listeners and understanders, Scorpios know what they want and when they want it (now, please!). Sensual, intelligent, and honest, a Scorpio can be your best friend or worst enemy. The downside to most Scorpios, is their violent outlash of jealousy or distrust. While often appearing older and more brave on the outside than the inside, earning respect from a Scorpio is no easy feat, but once you’re in their circle, you can count on being guarded for life.

If you’re into the science side of the horoscopes, Scorpio’s are rumored to get their traits from Pluto, the planet of transformation and regeneration. Forming cool composure may be a hint of maturing from a Scorpio, but don’t be surprised if a sudden storm blows in from the North.

Overall, as the season rolls around again, keep an eye out for the domineering passion burning from your local Scorpio, because we’ve waited all year for our time!
