What clubs/organizations are you affiliated with? I very recently got involved with the Sexual Education Committee at KU, and occasionally I go to SURGE meetings.
Hobbies: Singing, reading, knitting, crocheting (….is Netflix a hobby?) I also like vintage hunting and going on long , leisurely walks.
Three words that describe me: Salty, eclectic, loquacious
Usually, you can find me… (doing something around campus, at a coffee shop, etc) On Mass street, eating something delicious. Probably the Burger Stand, or Ramen Bowls or Wheatfields or Limestone Pizza. Lately I’ve been going to Ladybird Diner. They make awesome pie (the crust is so flaky!!!). I like food.
This year at KU I’m really looking forward to… meeting new, interesting people. Also my classes. I thoroughly enjoy being a student, most of the time.
What is something you’re especially proud of? One time I won a blindfolded dance contest at a rodeo in Texas. My prize? The bandana they used to cover my eyes.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I do not currently have a driver’s license nor do I know how to ride a bike (teaching myself though!). Getting places is hard. I walk a lot.
In five years I see myself… getting my masters in human sexuality.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Dishonesty. I prefer people to be upfront and just tell me how they really feel.
What inspires you? People who get straight A’s all through college. Seriously, go you.
Who are your role models? I don’t know. I’ve always struggled with this question because there’s no one I want to model myself after. No one I want to be like. I just want to be like me. But Tina Fey, John Green, Laci Green and Maya Washington ( aka Shameless Maya) are all generally cool people.
“If you ever see me on campus and say hi and I don’t acknowledge you it’s just because I am very focused on whatever I happen to be doing at any given time (also I’m often listening to music so I just don’t hear people). It’s not because I don’t want to say hi to you. So, for future reference, “Hi!””
What is the last song you listened to? “Float On” by Modest Mouse
