Sometimes you can run out of things to do with friends. Maybe you’re tired of always going to the movies, but then you have to find new activities to do that can bring friends together and allow them to have fun. Well, the Student Union Activities, or SUA as they are more commonly known, always has each month filled with many and different activities so it is not impossible to find something you like. From movie nights to bowling nights, they always offer so many activities that you will definitely find something for all your friends to get together to do. 

Here are seven events that SUA will be hosting this month!

1. Cosmic Bowling- From 10 p.m. to 1 a.m, every Friday and Saturday, there is cosmic bowling. Admission is free for KU students with their valid KU ID. 

2. Real Estate in concert- On Thursday, April 10, Real Estate will be playing at Liberty Hall in downtown Lawrence. Tickets are available to be purchased, in person with valid KU student ID, in the Kansas Union, at the Union Programs Box Office or the box office for Liberty Hall. Price for students with their valid KU ID is $3!

3. African Drum Ensemble Work Shop- You’ll have the chance to not only listen to the rhythms of Africa but also get to participate. The event is free and will take place in Hashinger Hall, the Black Box Theatre from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on April 11.

4. Campus Movie Series: “Ride Along”- It’s a FREE showing of the movie “Ride Along” at the Woodruff Auditorium in the Kansas Union on April 12. 

5. Holi Festival- This will take place on Robinson Field, it will have music and games. Also the first 20 people there will get a free white t-shirt! The Holi Tradition is in celebration of the spring and all the colors. The event is free with your KU ID! It will start at 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on April 13. 

6. Spring Open House- Let’s celebrate the beginning of spring! From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Union Lobby in the Kansas Union on April 15, there will be crafts to create, snacks and even a photo booth! This is free with your KU ID as well!

7. “Silver Linings Playbook”: Mental Health Awareness- From 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Alderson Auditorium in the Kansas Union on April 15, there will be a short lecture on mental health, then a showing of the movie “Silver Linings Playbook”! 

Now there you go. Seven events to look forward to and spend time with friends or family! This month has some pretty nice events so have fun!
