4 Dream Vacations We Wish We Could Go On This Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KU chapter.

1. Havana, Cuba

Cuba has just opened its doors to tourists, and the country is becoming one of the most popular places to travel. While Cuba offers miles of white sandy beach, the cultural side of Cuba shines through in Havana. The city boasts a colorful array of culture and tradition through the old buildings, vibrant locals, and the old-fashioned cars.

2. Singapore, Singapore

An island off the Malaysian chain is a place that deserves to be at the top of your bucket list. The local food is spectacular, the charming neighborhoods beg to be explored, there is a diversity of wildlife, and the nightlife scene will keep you up through the early morning. Singapore will surely give you a cultural experience never to be forgotten.

3. Tybee Island, Georgia

Looking to stay in the United States? Georgia’s got you covered. Tybee Island has southern charm, hot summers, sea turtles and lively beaches. The island buzzes with energy during the summer months. Maybe it’s the fisherman searching for a catch off the pier, the rustic beach cottages lining the streets, or the delicious seafood, the authentic southern town will not disappoint.

4. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is one of the greatest cities Europe has to offer and for good reasons. The city boasts unique architecture, traditional Spanish culture, and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. If a more laid-back feel is your style, head out to the coast and relax on the pristine beaches. It’s referred to the city that never sleeps, and you won’t want to.

Jenna is a Strategic Communications sophomore at the University of Kansas. She wants to visit all 50 states by the time she's 30, having checked 25 off the list so far. She also wants to travel to Thailand, Austria, Singapore, Ireland, and Zimbabwe, just to name a few. If you want to cook her dinner, stick to any authentic Mexican. Chile Relenos and guacamole are a good place to start. She has a love for God, running, wasting hours laying in the sun, and making the most of every weekend.
