It’s a Saturday. You’ve finished all your work, the KAC seems so far away, and your bed seems ever so inviting right now, so the question is: what to watch? I’ve compiled a list of which shows you should watch based on your astrological sign. Read on to find out what the stars have in store for you and your Netflix account!
Aries—House of Cards
You know the drill; Aries are full of drama, action, and adventure. So what better show for the most intense fire signs then House of Cards? A political drama about a manipulative, power-hungry congressman is the perfect binge-watch for an Aries. I just hope this doesn’t give any Aries ideas to take on any political crusades…
Taurus—Friends
Now obviously, for our most down-to-earth astrological sign, a drama is not fitting. No, a Taurus is calm, collected, and enjoys the simple things, like the ever-constant spacy Joey, neurotic Monica, and witty Chandler. A Taurus has feelings, but tends not to want to share them with others. Because of this, a Taurus will respect the emotional moments (come on, Ross, you were not on a break), but will favor the humor and silliness more as a pleasant distraction from everyday life.
Gemini—Criminal Minds
Oh Gemini. I really should feel bad for picking on this sign in every article, but I can’t help it. Geminis really will thrive watching criminal minds, resonating with the crazy serial killers and other unjust members of society whom the Behavior Analysis Unit of the FBI attempt to put behind bars. No, I don’t actually think that every Gemini is a mental lunatic, but they are the two-faced sign. And, just to clear my name, some of the worst serial killers were Geminis.
Cancer—Grey’s Anatomy
An emotional rollercoaster of a show comprised of diverse characters, Grey’s Anatomy is perfect for a Cancer. This sign is the most contradictory, constantly either helping others or being the one that needs help. So what better show than one full of surgeons committed to helping save lives, but also clearly need help in their own everyday lives? Grey’s Anatomy pulls on the heartstrings, as it gets you incredibly invested in the characters, which is perfect for the emotional Cancer.
Leo—Orange is the New Black
A dramatic comedy full of female leads, this show is perfect for Leo. Leos are born charismatic leaders, and will resonate strongly with such characters as Red, Sophia, and Taystee. Leos also have incredibly great senses of humor, and will understand the twisted comedy of Orange is the New Black and also the serious backstories of the characters and underlying concept of the show.
Virgo—Bates Motel
Virgos need a show like Bates Motel. A prequel to the film Psycho, the show follows Norma and Norman and the backstory that leads to how Norman eventually becomes a serial killer. Virgos tend to be quiet, so as to take time to show emotion, so this is the perfect show for a Virgo to watch the build up to Norman’s break. They’ll enjoy focusing on the development of the characters, and how things tend to unravel after arriving at the hotel.
Libra—Law and Order SVU
Logical thinkers, Libras will love this crime show. Because Libras are scales, they’ll resonate with a show about the judicial system, and will get caught up in trying to determine who’s guilty, and how to solve the crime. Libras are problem solvers, and will always get involved in a situation they see as unfair. So maybe this won’t necessarily be the most relaxing show for them to watch, but they’ll certainly feel satisfied getting into the plots.
Scorpio—Scandal
A thriller series, Scandal is a show focused around political drama and disputes that a Scorpio would love. Scorpios are observant, loyal, and passionate, and known as the “most powerful” signs. Therefore, they’ll love a show focused around power, and how people tend to manipulate and abuse it. They love dramatic relationships, and will get obsessed with the drama around Olivia and the president’s affair—but no spoilers!
Sagittarius—Bob’s Burgers
Sagittarians are super optimistic, love life, and have a general energy about them, and because of all that, they’ll love Bob’s Burgers. A funny animated comedy, Bob’s Burgers is perfect for Sagittarians because of the quick humor, general awkwardness about the characters, and little quirks in the plots. Sagittarians won’t tend to like a drama that is too confining, and will love the endless possibilities that come with an animated show that tends to be a bit surreal.
Capricorn—Breaking Bad
A show all about achieving goals, Breaking Bad is the perfect for Capricorns, who are extremely aspirational. They are super logical and methodical, and have a way about balancing work with play so that they can achieve success. So a drama where a chemistry teacher joins the meth world in order to get enough money to stabilize his family would totally appeal to a Capricorn. While they may not go about the same methods, they’ll totally dig how professional Walter White is with the entire drug operation, and will be hooked.
Aquarius—Parks and Rec
Aquarians march to the beat of their own drum, and will love the absurdity of Parks and Rec. Unlike some of the more logical signs, they’ll love how each of the characters have their own quirks, tendencies, and back stories, and will love the show’s dynamic. Aquarians are fiercely independent in the sense that they want their own, unique way of doing things, so they’ll admire this group of government employees and how they make the most of their situation while also enjoying the humor.
Pisces—How I Met Your Mother
Similar to Friends, How I Met Your Mother has that way of almost creating inside jokes with the audience that a Pisces will love. Pisces have extreme emotions that this show will entertain, and they’ll totally sympathize with Ted’s girl obsession, and fall in love with Lily and Marshall. Pisces spend a lot of time in their heads, imagining tons of “what if” situations, rather than living in the moment, so they’ll totally love how ridiculous the show tends to get, and how absurd the characters can be.
