While I am graduating next week, I can’t wait to see what they will bring you next year. READ MORE |

5 Things to Highlight on Your List of Summer PlansBy May 10, 2013 - 12:38pm With summer less than two weeks away, there’s finally an end in sight. When all of us nearly-nine-month residents of Gambier, Ohio scatter across the globe, here are a few essentials to remember. 1. Relaxation - This may be a given, but sometimes it’s tough to wind down from a hectic week of finals and a school year’s worth of stress. Even if you’re leaving Gambier en route to an amazing job, internship, or volunteer experience, be sure to take a breather -- though it might have to be 30,000 feet above the ground. READ MORE |

Presents Every Mother Will Love Available Right Here in GambierBy May 9, 2013 - 3:34pm We’re used to having essentially zero shopping options here in Gambier. That fact is not always easy to deal with, especially when Mother’s Day falls the Sunday after finals. For many of us, it will be the first full day back home, and we won’t have time to hit the mall before May 12. Here are some great buys that don’t require living in the real world. READ MORE |

So I did what any bonafide senior girl enjoying post-comps season would do: poured a glass of wine, curled up in bed with my laptop and tracked down a website that would let me stream Dirty Dancing for free. Love Letter to PeirceBy May 6, 2013 - 1:01pm There’s one thing that 99% of Kenyon students have in common (and no, it’s not brown hair and glasses.) Where we eat. Whether it’s for the local foods, Harry Potter-esque Great Hall, the friendly AVI employees, or the sassy Facebook personality, there is something for everybody to love about Peirce Dining Hall. As we reach the end of a year full of Gourdzilla, Peircegiving, a spicy food contest, and a Cinco de Mayo party just ‘cause, it’s time to give a very necessary thanks to Peirce and the wonderful AVI staff. Majoring in What You LoveBy May 5, 2013 - 1:59pm In the two years I have been at Kenyon, I’ve taken a smorgasbord of classes, both to complete my distribution requirements and for myself. That’s one of the beauties of being at a liberal arts school. We are encouraged to take the time to discover what we are truly passionate about before jumping on a pre-med bandwagon or declaring that time-intensive English major. Taking a mix of classes and majoring in a humanity or social science comes with a cost, though. The cost is this conversation, which we all have memorized at this point: Distant relative/ family friend: So, what college do you go to? READ MORE |
