Every girl knows the struggle of following their favorite celebrity or style guru on Instagram and dying over the pictures they post of their outfits, then “googling” the clothes, and letting a silent tear fall down your face once you see the price. Well, at least I do that. If you can relate then you have come to the right place. I will be showing you how to steal your favorite celebrity’s style for less!

Today, I will be focusing on Vanessa Hudgens – I have drawn inspiration from her Instagram but have also searched her style on other websites like Pinterest. I’ve picked out two looks to recreate at an affordable price point and they are perfect for the fall season. All the links to the clothing mentioned will be at posted at the end of the article.

The statement piece of Vanessa’s outfit is definitely her overalls. The white and grey stripes create a mood that screams fall. The boyfriend-like fit makes the outfit super relaxed and comfortable, perfect for everyday wear. Unfortunately, I looked on so many affordable websites and could not come up with her exact look, but I did find a pair of white overalls in the men’s department of Forever 21 that will give you the same fit and distressed look for $32.90, or you can check out a light washed distressed boyfriend style pair of overalls from FashionNova for $34.99. The Fashion Nova pair might not be the exact shade, but they will still give off a similar look and vibe. As for the black turtle sweater Vanessa is wearing, you can find an almost identical one at H&M for $24.99 (except most likely Vanessa’s cost more than $100). Moving forward to accessories, Vanessa’s shoes are a staple that every girl should invest in. You can find a pair of black booties pretty much anywhere, but I found a pair for only $20 on ZooShoo; the shoes are faux leather similar to what Vanessa is wearing. The last element are her sunglasses, any round pair will do! Currently a pair from H&M costs only $9.99.

Overall the outfit comes together for under $100! This is an outfit that is so easy to recreate you may even already own the majority of these pieces in your wardrobe, and the things that you will have to buy will work with just about anything you already have!

I love this next outfit that just happens to feature a current trend, the poplin top. This top is flirty and creates a youthful look. With the long sleeves, it is the perfect top to throw on for the chilly fall days. If you are looking for a similar top, then Zara is the place to go. I found three poplin blouses that are close to what Vanessa is wearing. The first is blue and white with the same type of cut but lacks the bow. The second shirt is the same poplin style with the bow accent, but is grey and white striped. And lastly, I found another option in the same colors but a different cut; it is the cheapest option and gives off the same look for $22.49, on sale at BP Nordstrom. My favorite part of Vanessa’s outfit are the jeans; the cut cuffs make them stand out from every other basic pair. If you are into distressed jeans and rips, ASOS has the perfect pair for you. They are just a little lighter than the pair seen on Vanessa and cost $45. Moving on to the accessories I want to give the cheapest options available, because the jeans and top were all around $50. I came across some tassel earrings that give off a similar vibe and they are from Forever 21 for $6.90, the ankle bracelets you can find at Claire’s ranging from $6.99 to $12 and Charlotte Russe has a pair of sunglasses on sale for $2. The bag has two options; one for only $29 at H&M, but it does not have the brown straps, or a similar one from Charming Charlie’s on sale for $26 that contains cutouts. The shoes were the hardest item to recreate for the cheapest price and exact look. I however, did find two options from DSW; the first one has similar detailing in the straps, but the second one is a plain black strapped sandal with the same height and look. Both shoes are around $50. I also found a pair of shoes from Charlotte Russe that are on sale and are a loafer style, but they have a nice beading detail; these retail for $15.

Overall this outfit comes in around $200, but do not forget, you may be able to work items you already own into this look making it less expensive.

Going into this steal her style, I was unaware of how difficult it would be to find exact/similar items for less. I know some of the clothing items are pricey, but I hope this gives you inspiration to hunt down some of your own celebrity looks. Stay tuned for more “Steal her styles” features in the future!
