5 Things You Need in Your Closet: Kent State Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.

It’s finally spring semester here at Kent, but in reality it’s January and we’re all freezing our butts off waiting for spring to arrive any day now. Here are some things you need in your closet to survive the winter months in Kent.

1. A really big scarf to protect you from the horrible wind that will freeze your face.

2. Boots with good traction. That ice will sneak up on you, and those Uggs aren’t going to save you.

3. Gloves that you’re able to text in. Because we all know taking them on and off is just going to be super annoying. And if you don’t have any, your fingers will freeze in about 30 seconds.

4. A winter jacket. I have to say this since I’ve been seeing people in shorts. Please stop being that person wearing shorts in 5 degree weather.

5. FUZZY SOCKS. Because, did I mention it’s fricken cold?! Keep those toesies warm my friends.
