Kean's Stage will present "The Gamester" starting from November 30. Written by Freida Thomas and directed by Dennis Turney, "The Gamester" takes place in Paris during the eighteenth century. It is based on "Le Jouer," a little-known 1696 play written by Jean-Francois Regnard, a French writer. With "The Gamester," Thomas has cleverly devised a world-class French comedy, albeit with darker undertones reminiscent of Vegas and American society at the millenium.
