Hello! This week I’ll be doing a product review on the oh-so-famous Kylie Lip Kits. Over the past year or so (ever since Kylie Jenner started her makeup brand), I’ve been collecting different colors and now I have probably too many.
First here is a picture of the colors I have swatched:

Kylie’s lip kits come with a lip liner and a liquid lipstick for $29, though single liquid lipsticks or liners come in some colors and are $17 and $14 respectively. These are actually pretty comparable to other high quality liquid lipsticks. For example, Kat Von D liquid lipsticks and Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks are priced at $20 each. What is really great about these lipsticks is, like other matte liquid lipsticks, they are extremely longwearing. The earlier formulations of her lipstick were slightly more watery than the current ones, but the newer ones are more hydrating. A tradeoff with liquid lipsticks is that in order for them to last so long, through drinking and eating for instance, they tend to dry out your lips pretty quickly.
I have an older version of Kourt K, and I found this to be the only color I don’t particularly like. The color is patchy when applied and can get clumpy after trying to layer or reapply the lipstick. However, I had no other problems with other dark colors like True Brown. Her formula is generally very pigmented and one coat applies a full amount of color.
My favorite color, and the most popular one, is Kristen. It’s a great strawberry pink that is flattering on a range of skin tones. I also really like Candy K, which is a great nude pink as well as Exposed which is a tan nude. Also the metals are great as they are slightly creamier in texture and unique colors. The lip liners that come with the lip kits are really great quality as they are pigmented and creamy, making them easy to apply. Overall, I enjoy the Kylie Cosmetics line, though I have mostly only tried out her lipsticks. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested as she has a great formula and a wide range of colors.
