The Voices of Our Childhood: Disney Actors are Everywhere

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JCU chapter.

The Silver Age of Disney (1950 – 1968), and the Dark Age (1969 – 1988) produced about 16 animated feature films, from Cinderella in 1950 through Oliver and Company in 1988. These movies had a very interesting sound, because Disney used a LOT of the same voice actors for all of these movies! Movies that are particularly guilty of this are Alice in Wonderland and Aristocats, which both appear six times on this list. Basically, when you’re watching a movie from these two eras, you will probably end up hearing a voice that you have heard before in a different Disney movie. I have compiled for you all a list of just some of the individuals who pop up again and again. If you’re into this, we can talk about John Ratzenberger over coffee later.  Enjoy.
