How To: Be Single on Valentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

Who says you need to have dinner and flowers to have a great Valentine’s Day? Forget about those heart-shaped pizzas, candies, and stuffed animals–here are four ways to have fun on Valentine’s Day without a boyfriend!

1. Makeovers:

Get your squad together and pamper yourselves. Try some new nail, hair, and makeup styles. Beautify your gorgeous self to look amazing on Monday.

2. Movie Marathon:

Pop some popcorn and have a date with Netflix. Take the day to have guilt free movie day and give yourself that break that you deserve. Who said netflix and chill requires a boyfriend?

3. Take a Personal Day:

Treat yo self to a new pair of shoes, a new book, or a box of chocolates….

Visit a museum, relax with a massage, see a friend, read a new book, or take a nap.

Make a date that you know you will actually love.

4. Bring your Creative Side Out:

Dig those magazines out and make a collage. Find a fun craft to make on a DIY website, or knit a scarf for yourself. Write a letter to your grandma, or redecorate your room. Get those creative juices flowing.
