Meet Danielle—TEN Advertising Chairperson
Danielle Redding, a Sophomore Biology major, is from Broomall, Pennsylvania which is close to Philadelphia. She sometimes goes by the name Dani or The Thunder. After completing college, Danielle is attending medical school in hopes of becoming an Emergency Doctor; how exciting!
Danielle is the Advertising Chairperson for The Entertainment Network. Within this organization, she is the recruiter and manager for all of the General Managers and helps advertise the upcoming shows and events they have through contests and promo tables. Also within IUP, Danielle plays the tuba in the Marching Band, she plays the Euphonium in the Tubaphonium Ensemble, and is a member of Active Minds. Within the community, she reaches out to other students to try and get them involved on campus so they can make their college experience memorable.
When asked why she likes doing what she does, Danielle stated, “I really enjoy seeing the faces of happiness or excitement before/after an event. Seeing that people are happy is a huge driving force for me to want to keep doing my part better, and to keep everyone smiling.” In her free time when she isn’t busy advertising for an event or playing some musical tunes, Danielle still loves to sing, play, and listen to music; however, she loves to buy clothes, eat food, and nap just like any other normal college student.
To her fellow students, her advice, “is to not be afraid to get involved. College is really overwhelming, and it all hits you at once. But, don’t let that keep you from getting out there and enjoying what your school has to offer in terms of organizations and activities. It’s a great way to meet people, and find where you fit in the huge puzzle everyone likes to call college.”
