This week’s Campus Celebrity is our very own Her Campus team member and graduating senior Rachel Laudermilch. Rachel is graduating this May with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, with a Marketing focus. She has written awesome articles for the Her Campus style blog! Also, to show her love of fashion, she had an internship in New York City, but don’t let that stop you from realizing that this fashionista also has brains, along with beauty!
Rachel has been involved in numerous organizations at IUP. She is a member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity and has been since the end of her sophomore year. Since becoming a general member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity, she held numerous of different position. She said, “I will have good memories of the being a part of it.” Along with being a member of the honors fraternity, she is also a member of the Fashion Association.
Rachel helped with IUP’s first ever Hawk Rock, a charity event to help feed the hungry and homeless in Indiana County. It was a great success and she felt honored to be a part of it. She also worked as an IUP crimson Tour guide. This collegiette was busy while at IUP!
Rachel says she loves IUP and will never forget all of the memories, fun, and laughs that she had here. She will miss living with her best friends and spending their free time together. She is also going to miss the Indiana County, saying “there is a lot to offer students.”
One thing she will definitely miss the most is her favorite IUP tradition: homecoming. She says, “It is a lot of fun and the football games are always enjoyable.”
When asked what her favorite IUP memory was, she said, “All of them, but basically any holiday at IUP has been fun. Official or unofficial, they have all been a total blast! In particular, last year’s Halloween is one I will never forget!”
Words of advice from the graduating senior: “My advice to current undergraduates is love yourself and make decisions that show that! Also, don’t rush through your life, it goes by quick enough. Enjoy every minute of every day because it is a blessing and always brings something new and exciting!”
