Spread the Word to End the Word

  The Indiana University chapter of Best Buddies will be holding a rally in honor of the Spread the Word to End the Word™ campaign this Wednesday in the Willkie Auditorium. The Spread the Word to End the Word™ is a national campaign encouraging people to pledge to stop the use of the word “retard(ed).” The R-word acts as hate speech to millions on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and friends. Rather, those in support of the Spread the Word campaign advocate for the use of language that is respectful of people with disabilities. There is no one word that defines those with disabilities. This year, March 6th acts as the national day of awareness for the R-Word. READ MORE

Union Board Presents an Evening with John Legend

Union Board is proud to present 9-time Grammy Award winning R&B artist John Legend!  This event will be LIVE at the IU Auditorium on Friday, December 7th at 8 p.m. Those who attend will hear Legend perform his hit songs and be the first to hear songs from his highly-anticipated new album, Love in The Future, set to release in early 2013. In addition to his solo albums, John Legend has collaborated with artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and many more. Tickets will be sold for $35, $45, and $55.  Also being sold are a limited number of VIP tickets for $100 that include seating in the pit and a meet and greet with John Legend himself. READ MORE
