HCIU: What is your favorite thing about IU? What do you miss about California?CN: During my two, going on three years at IU, I have experienced many things that have impacted my life. Since freshman year, I think my favorite thing about IU is the sense of school pride and community. Being a Hoosier allows students to unite through a common interest, whether it be studies, IU sports games, philanthropy events, or even just hanging out around campus, students feel comfortable and at ease while at this great university.
Being from the SF Bay Area, I can definitely say that I miss the consistent weather trends and non-landlocked state benefits. During commonly ‘tame’ seasons here in Indiana, you never really know when the heat, the rain, or even the occasional tornado warning will occur (sometimes, all in the same day). In addition, being able to go to the beach/ocean or being able to buy and eat fresh seafood are also two things that I definitely take advantage of during my holiday breaks back home.
