“Roses are red, Violets are blue… holy cow that’s how much?” Valentine's day, the day you really, truly care about impressing your significant other with whatever amazing gift you decide to bestow upon them. The only problem is that the sales industry knows this, and pulls and preys on your little sentimental heartstrings. Get a Cultural One-Up Post-Grad

By Brittany Tempest
February 9, 2013 - 5:14pm

(Photo Courtesy of Jacobs School of Music) Picture this: you’re a fresh-faced post-grade sitting confidently  in the office of the head hauncho of your dream job. You’re feeling confident but anxious, fiddling with your clothes and trying to let the confidence win over the anxiety as much as possible while answering the questions of the intimidating figure before you. Truthfully, what can you say? READ MORE

FratMusic.com and Spotify are frequently used at many parties here in Bloomington, whether at a fraternity or at a random house party. But what about FratMusic and Spotify makes them such a go-to for party music? Yet here it is, alive and thriving at both fraternities and house parties alike. Spotify is also in an upswing, with more and more artists agreeing to have their music on it each day. READ MORE

Not Every DJ is a Great DJ Thursday, Feb. 7 I went to Dunnkirk with a few friends in hopes of seeing a great DJ who could provide some fun dance music and an exciting atmosphere. The DJs billed were Moguai, Dug Knight and Alex Hodes. As designated driver, nights can really start to drag on if you don’t have something fun to do with your less than sober friends while out on the town. I was hoping Dunnkirk would be able to provide just that. READ MORE

By Sarah Gurian
February 6, 2013 - 3:53pm

It is every Hoosier’s favorite number... #1, and we aren’t just talking party school. The Indiana men’s basketball team has taken the top spot in the nation once again. The last time the Hoosiers were #1 was in early December, but they fell to Butler at the Closing the Gap Crossroads classic in Indianapolis. While the Hoosiers have been still consistently ranked in the top ten, my Twitter and Facebook feeds exploded with joy when the official rankings came out Monday morning. Now let’s break down the rest of the season so you know what to expect for the last 2 months of college basketball. READ MORE
