Ren Jay Shei: The Man Behind AXiD & Black Key BullsBy April 23, 2011 - 3:16pm When he shuffles into Scholar’s Inn Bakehouse at ten past eleven on a Sunday morning, Ren-Jay Shei’s eyes are admittedly a little red around the edges. He’s shrouded from the rainy weather outside by oversized camo pants and a well-worn hooded sweatshirt with a graphic print. He quietly asks for a moment to go get some coffee. Confessions of a Pageant PrincessBy April 22, 2011 - 12:34am Rachel is one of my sorority sisters and best friends in college. She’s the older sister I wished I had, and has taught me about fake eyelashes, spray tans, and being fierce. Needless to say, I’ve always admired her. On stage at the Bloomington Convention Center, under bright lights, in heels and a leopard print gown, the audience sees her as a woman of glamour, poise, and talent. In other words, everything it means to be a pageant girl. Watching her compete in Miss Indiana University in March was my first pageant experience. READ MORE |

From Lil' Wayne to Racing in the Rain: Little 500 2011By April 22, 2011 - 12:00am During this year's Little 500 HCIU danced in Assembly Hall to Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne, stomped around in rain boots at the bike races, and filled our nights celebrating with friends and fellow students to honor the tradition of Little 500 as the 'best college weekend in the world.' The Conflicting Schedule of A Collegiette (TM) CatholicBy April 21, 2011 - 12:14am Some may think I’m a loser or a prissy good girl because I go to church on a regular basis. I mean, why bother? The necessity of putting your training from spring break to practice consumes your thoughts and homework becomes an afterthought.
