1. Leaves Changing Color. Being from Florida makes me appreciate the seasons here in Bloomington that much more. I am used to one season: summer. Not only is the temperature dropping but the leaves are changing color, making it that much nicer to walk around IU!

2. Halloween. For one night of the year, or three nights depending on how much you like to celebrate Halloween, you get to dress up as something you are not. You can be Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, or even a Red Solo Cup depending on how outgoing you are. Not only will you shock the people around you by mastering your costume but you have a reason to buy insane amounts of candy or go to your favorite bar dressed in a costume.

3. Change in Fashion. You are no longer forced to wear shorts and a tanktop because it’s brutally hot outside. Your wardrobe has transformed from beach-chic to oversized sweaters and leggings. You can finally dress cute to class instead of sweating around campus.

4. Fall Tailgates. It is the perfect time to exude school spirit as IU’s football season heads into the fall. Not that every tailgate isn’t better than the last, but the fact that it’s getting colder out means bundling up in IU gear, making it more exhilarating.

5. Looking Forward to Thanksgiving. Your favorite food! You get to go home to a home-cooked meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and much more and honestly, who wouldn’t be excited for that?
