During the winter months at IC, it is much easier to curl up watching past seasons of Say Yes to the Dress on Netflix (guilty pleasure – shoot me!) than to go to the gym. But as we know in Ithaca, bikini season could be next Wednesday… or in three months.
Before you start objecting that you’re “not a runner,” keep in mind that at some point in your IC career, you have trekked up from Emerson to Terraces, or even worse, from the commons to the quads. Running is just putting one foot in front of the other and I have faith in you collegiettes.
To get you going, I started some of the legwork for you (enjoy the pun). Here are some upcoming races in Ithaca in the next few months. Distances range from a 5k (3.1 miles) all the way up to a full marathon (26.2 miles) with everything in between. Sign up and get friendly with that treadmill, ladies.
